Q: "I would love to have some creative work done, but I don't know if I can afford it."

A: This is more of a statement than a question, but it is the most frequent statement we hear...And there is essentially a question underneath: Can I afford you guys? The answer is yes. We even offer month by month payment plans if you think the quote is more than what you can afford at the moment. No interest is involved if payments are made within 30 days of invoice. If you cannot afford to pay a certain month, call us and let us know. We don't want to break your bank account. We want to do work. And we want to work for you. By doing good work, we get to be proud. By doing good work for you, we help you make more money. It's a win-win situation.

Q: "How much will it cost me to have a video done?"

A: "Video" has come to be known as anything you can put up on YouTube. That is not necessarily "video" work. It can be a motion graphic with a voice over, or it could be actual video work done with a camera. It can be a combination of elements. This is why we do not have a flat rate for video production services listed. Shooting video and motion graphic videos are two different animals. Once we know exactly what your project is, all charges are explained in great detail. We give you a quote with a breakdown of the services. We will not pressure you with phone calls after a quote is given. What we quote is what you pay unless you change the scope of the project.

Q: How much is it going to cost to have a website built?

A: We like to ask questions first. Do you want just one static web page? Do you want multiple pages? Are you going to require having a site that you need to update frequently (CMS)? Are you wanting us to perform the updates? These questions all have a reflection on the quote. We don't believe that one size fits all, because your business is unique. We make the process for you simple, manageable, and affordable. We want you to be satisfied. We believe a good reputation is the cheapest form of advertising. Q: "I have a video camera with some video editing software. Why should I hire you guys to do this for me?"

A: With all of the tools at the public's disposal these days, it has convinced people anyone can do it themselves. Once, an old man told me, "Just because you can do it yourself, doesn't mean you should!" I have read books on how to fix my car, but when I do it myself, it usually costs me more in the long run. I do not have a mechanical aptitude. Yes, technology is amazing, and the things we can do with it are amazing. But you will always notice the difference between a professional video and one that someone "threw together". What does that tell others about how you view yourself as an entity? That is the question no one seems to ask themselves. In business, being amazed at what we were able to do with technology on our home movies is one thing, but it is not going to sell your services. This is the difference between going to see a Steven Spielberg movie and watching someone do a video blog on YouTube. Also, you are invested in your company, so you may leave out key selling points of your business because you will assume too much, while your customer assumes too little. Remember, a bad first impression or being unclear about who you are can take months and more money to make up for. Now how much does this cost in your time and finances? Only you can and will know.
